Healthy Red Meat Recipes

Why Your Red Meat Matters

Red meat is a main ingredient in various dishes across the globe because of its taste and versatility. Whether you like it in chunks, ground, or on-the-bone via a slab of steak, we all have our favorite red meat dishes.

Beef and other types of red meat are quite flavorful on their own, but they can be made stellar when seasoned well. But what really sets my red meat dishes apart would be the use of meat from organic and grass-fed livestock.

Most of the meat that you see or purchase from conventional supermarkets today likely come from concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFOs) where animals like cows and chickens are fed with an unnatural diet of grains and corn instead of their natural diets.

One of my favorite red meats is organic, grass-fed beef, not only because I consider it to be more ethical, but because it has lower amounts of total fat but higher amounts of:

Beta-carotene

B-vitamins and vitamin E

Minerals like calcium, magnesium, and potassium

Total omega-3s and healthier ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 fatty acids

CLA (cis-9 trans-11), a potential cancer fighter

Vaccenic acid (which can be transformed into CLA)

These red meat recipes are not only bursting with flavor, but are healthy for you and your loved ones as well. Give these recipes a try today!
